Mersea Island is unique and so is the Victory, its staff, location and, we are sure, your enjoyment when you visit the real thing very soon. We actually like our customers, which is reflected in the standards of service and the relaxed atmosphere. All of which has been recognised by our 4 Star Inn status from VisitBritain and our regular appearance in the Pub of the Year awards, including East Anglia food Pub of the Year. The Times newspaper rates Mersea in its 30 Great British Weekend Getaways and The Victory as the place to stay! And we've  appeared on Channel 4's 4 in a Bed!

The Victory is situated right on the waterfront with fantastic views over the Blackwater, a 10 minute walk from the centre of West Mersea and close to the centre of the oldest part of the island. Not far down the road is the original Victory pub, now a private cottage, and we have based the concept of the Victory around England’s most famous warship and its legendary commander, Lord Nelson. The combination of great teamwork, the desire to produce the best results and never being afraid to be different, gives our customers a memorable experience and the desire to return.
